Hard Rock Rocksino

In 2014, Northfield Park broke ground for the new, first of its’ kind, Hard Rock Rocksino just south of Cleveland, Ohio.

Lake Erie Electric was the prime electrical contractor overseeing the electrical package. The Rocksino offers multiple gaming and entertainment options within the 200,000 square foot complex. There are over 64,000 square feet of gambling and slots, multiple restaurants including the Hard Rock Café, Fresh Harvest Buffet, and Kosar’s Steakhouse to serve visitors throughout the complex. In addition, there is a 2,600 seat Hard Rock concert venue, the Club Velvet Comedy Club, and the Rock Shop retail area.

Lake Erie Electric’s Cleveland and Akron offices worked together to complete the project in an unprecedented 10 months. More than 80 Akron IBEW members working in two shifts completed all the site power and lighting, power distribution, lighting, telecommunications, security, lightning protection, and fire alarm system on the project.
