In May of 2012, Lake Erie Electric was awarded The CWRU Tinkham Veale University Center.
The 89,000 square foot University Center features a new large event space, kitchen, dining room, student organization offices, administration offices, and a solar array on the living roof which grows out of the grassy area behind the CWRU Library.
The Lake Erie Electric Engineering department worked with the MEP designers and contractors to create coordination drawings which we developed into installation drawings for the project. The Local 38 electricians provided excellent craftsmanship while installing the new 2000A, 480/277V MDP and installing feeders to the 62 new power and lighting panels which extended the normal and emergency generator power and lighting systems. We also provided and installed a new fire alarm, lighting control with daylight harvesting, security, and technology raceway systems.
