Toledo

With the company having offices throughout Ohio and an office in the greater Detroit area, it seemed practicable that expanding in the Toledo, Ohio area was in order. In 1996, an individual was identified and a small office was opened and the company immediately started to bid and obtain all types of electrical work throughout northwest Ohio. This office was expanded in 2001 with the acquisition of Carpenter Electric, and at this point in time, this operating division was spun-out into a separate subsidiary corporation of Lake Erie Electric.

With continued growth and expanded services being offered, the company purchased property and built a 10,800 square foot facility, which has been expanded several times to total over 20,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. In addition, in 2013, another property was acquired and renovated into the company’s Pre-Fabrication and Construction Services facility.

As of 2016, Lake Erie Electric’s Toledo company employs over 140 local 8 electricians and tele-data workers and 30 project managers, estimators, designers and administrative and support staff personnel. This office is capable of providing the full range of electrical construction services and performs works in all sectors, including Industrial, Commercial, and Health Care. In addition, this company operates a fleet of service vehicles servicing small project customers.

LET History

Lake Erie Technologies, Inc. was founded in April of 2012 as a direct and collaborative effort with Lake Erie Electric.  The need to develop specialized skills for the demands of network infrastructure and fiber optics, security, access, CCTV, and audio-visual systems installation became increasingly clear as these systems became more complex.  Lake Erie Technologies, Inc. set out to establish itself as the premier provider of these systems by investing heavily into training and tooling.

Building upon Lake Erie Electric’s strong foundation, our technical expertise is extensive.  The office staff includes multiple career experienced Estimators and Project Managers.  The Company has employees registered as RCDD and CTS.   Our field technical staff are IBEW Local 8 VDV Technicians and Apprentices that are BICSI certified.  Our comprehensive coverage of most major brands of copper and fiber optic cabling, AV gear, security products, CCTV equipment and access control solutions ensure that we are able to perform the most complex projects from full-scale campus facility overhauls to the smallest moves and changes required in small business.  Our design and sales philosophy is to provide the right solution for all customers.
