History
In 1990, the Company received information regarding the auctioning of assets from a Dayton, Ohio company being dissolved due to bankruptcy. In the process of investigating this situation, several people were identified and the idea of expanding into southwest Ohio was hatched. After a thorough review of the geographic region and opportunities that would allow Lake Erie Electric to capitalize upon its construction knowledge, experience and strengths, the decision was made to expand, and in September of 1990, an office was officially opened in Dayton, Ohio
After several moves throughout the Dayton area to larger offices, in 1998 a new 9,500 square foot facility was built in Franklin, Ohio. This is home to the company’s Dayton/Cincinnati office serving Southwestern Ohio. This fully staffed operation is capable of providing all types of electrical construction services, with emphasis on industrial and commercial projects of all sizes.
In 2018 The Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce voted the Lake Erie Electric Dayton office the 2018 Business of the Year! The Franklin Area CoC wrote that “Lake Erie Electric is such a wonderful asset to our area! They’ve been a steady presence in Franklin for many years, and worked on projects that have enhanced our community, such as the renovation of the Paul E. Fitzgerald Pool.”
