New Columbus Office!
October 03, 2018 — Lake Erie Electric (“LEE” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office, located in Columbus, OH. Expanding into the Columbus market is a logical step for the Company for several reasons. LEE presently serves the geographic areas north and southwest of Columbus via its Mansfield and Dayton offices, respectively, but does not have a physical presence in the City of Columbus or its suburbs. This new office allows LEE to better-serve existing (and new) customers that have operations situated in the Columbus / mid-Ohio region. Additionally, the Columbus area is experiencing significant levels of both population and wage growth, as well as economic development activity, all of which are indicative of a strong construction market. As an ENR Top 50 electrical contractor with a proven track record, LEE is well-poised to enter this highly-active market.
Keith Rowland, Vice President of the LEE Mansfield office, will oversee the Company’s new operation in Columbus. Mr. Rowland joined the Company in 1992 as an inside wireman, eventually being promoted to Vice President in 2009. Matt Patzin, currently a Project Manager in the LEE Toledo office, will relocate to Columbus to serve as Operations Manager. Mr. Patzin joined the Company in 2011 as an intern. After graduating from Bowling Green State University’s Construction Management Program in 2013, Mr. Patzin joined LEE on a full-time basis to lead the Company’s service business in the Toledo market. Mr. Rowland and Mr. Patzin bring nearly four decades of combined electrical installation and management experience to the LEE Columbus office.
The Company’s President & CEO, Peter J. Corogin, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the Columbus opportunity: “This is an exciting chapter in our company’s history. The Columbus market has always been on our radar, but we lacked a local labor force and a physical presence. Now we have both, and I am confident that Keith [Rowland] and Matt [Patzin] are fully-capable of leading Lake Erie Electric’s efforts in this important region.
