Rock Hall Renovation – Cleveland, Ohio
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has rolled out a series of renovations to create a transformative and multidimensional experience for music fans and visitors from all over the world. Our team successfully completed the multi-phase renovations that have given a bold new look to the Rock Hall. The first phase included the relocation of a café to a bigger space on the first floor, which is open to the public without the ticket admission. Our crew installed a 75KVA transformer and 200A panel along with approximately 50 light fixtures suspended from a light truss which was made up of uni-strut hanging from cables. The new “All Access Café” was completed for the memorial weekend.
The 2nd phase was the construction of a new theater that hosts an epic signature hall of fame experience. The theater is located on the 3rd floor and continues up to the fourth floor. Our crew worked for 10 weeks in total to install five 100A relay/power panel for lighting and for providing power to various theater equipment. They also replaced an existing 480V distribution panel and few 120/208V 200A panels. The Rock Hall Signature Experience that features concert– quality sound, larger-than-life -video screens and fan interactivity was completed and opened to the public on July 1st.
The third phase renovation included the replacement of exterior lighting. Our electricians climbed up the 120’ pole to change 16 light fixtures in total. They also replaced the four lake bollards along with the light fixtures on it. Since the lake bollards were on the water, a 24’ long boat was rented to work on it. The exterior renovation was completed on July 7th.
Lake Erie Electric is ISO 9001:2015 Certified
Lake Erie Electric completed the required changes to its quality Management System to adhere to the new ISO guidelines. It was eye opening to see Lake Erie Electric’s culture was already in alignment with the new ISO standards. While many companies have to complete a significant overhaul to their Quality Process, Lake Erie Electric made the transition seamless by already having focus on employee engagement, leadership and process integration. ISO 9000 standards provides the requirements for an organizational quality management system. Companies abiding by these standards can ensure that their services consistently meet/exceed their customer’s expectations.
ISO 9001:2015 is the newest standard. Changes to the system call for the companies to be more engaged and communicate with stakeholders, which include customers, partners and suppliers. The company is expected to serve their customers with consistent quality and to collaborate with suppliers and partners to improve the process. Lake Erie Electric has been committed to this process for many years prior to the new standard.

Lake Erie Electric Celebrates 65th Anniversary!
Lake Erie Electric was founded on January 13, 1952. As we study our industry, there are not many electrical contractors that were founded in Ohio, still in business, providing good jobs, employing wonderful people, privately held and able to celebrate their company’s 65th anniversary.
I am proud of our organization. Thank you for your dedication to our company and for striving to make Lake Erie Electric a good and stable company to build your career and provide income and job stability that everyone desires for enjoying life.
I’m also grateful and appreciative for our company founders. It was their vision, risk taking and hard work that created the foundation for all of us to build upon and take the company to new levels.

Music Room at the Boys & Girls Club
Lake Erie Electric recently participated in a project for the Boys & Girls Club at the Broadway Location in Cleveland, Ohio. We collaborated in effort to create a beautiful, educational space that will allow the children to blossom with musical aspirations. Lake Erie received an award for helping students reach their dreams through our donation and assistance.
Oregon Clean Energy Center
Lake Erie Electric of Toledo was selected by Black & Veatch to assist in constructing the Oregon Clean Energy Center (OCEC) in Lucas County, Ohio. Lake Erie Electric (LEE) and joint venture partner MJ Electric (MJE), took over all commodity installations previously performed by Black & Veatch Electrical. During the 5 months on site LEE and MJE have installed 1.4 million feet of cable, and installed 60,000 terminations. In addition to the completion of the electrical construction effort, LEE and MJE have been instrumental in support of system start up. Since arriving on site in late September, LEE and MJE are on pace to complete 120,000, recordable injury free, man hours by March 2017. Peak manpower reached 168 electricians of the total 925 tradesmen on site.
The Oregon Clean Energy Center is an 869 MW facility that will provide electricity for growing manufacturing and residential use. The OCEC will utilize two high-efficiency Siemens combustion turbine generators (CTGs), two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and a Siemens steam turbine. To increase power output, the HRSGs are equipped with supplemental firing and the gas turbines are equipped with evaporative coolers. The Siemens H class combustion turbines are being installed in a two-on-one combined-cycle configuration. The OCEC replaces generation from several aging coal-fired power plants in the region that are being retired. Construction began in November 2014 and is expected to begin commercial operations by July 2017.
